Bats are some of the most misunderstood animals. Their place in our ecology is vital yet some deadly diseases threaten their existence. What do they do during the day? Why do they come out at night? We often fear what we don't understand. Bats: to know them is to love them! Program appropriate for adults and children.

Writing from Memory: For Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Friends

In one way or another, every writer writes from life. In this hands-on workshop, participants will use memories of motherhood or daughterhood as inspiration for creating evocative works of memoir, fiction, and poetry. Open to mothers and daughters, individually or as couples, and to writers of every level.

Open House - Celebrating 60 Years

All are welcome to join friends of Wisdom House to celebrate 60 years of the center's ministry of spirituality, education and the arts in Litchfield. Visit the Farm House (c.1770), Spruce Brook Barn (1925), Colonial Brick Building (1950), MLT Gallery (1994), outdoor labyrinth (1996), Chapel with art windows (2006) and seventy acres of forests and meadows.

Visit during the afternoon and enjoy a program and refreshments from 5-7 pm. This celebration is supported by the First National Bank of Litchfield. RSVP appreciated by May 15.
