What is the housing like?
We have a number of rooms in our large main building. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. For a Writer/Artist Retreat you would be in a private room.

Do writers provide their own meals?
All meals are included in the fee. Please specify dietary needs and specific requests.

What is the length of typical residency?
1 to 2 weeks

What are the work/study areas like?
We have sun porches, living rooms, study areas, quiet rooms with tables, and internet access (please ask for details).

What are the surroundings like?
Wisdom House is on 54 acres of meadows and forest and home to a classical 7-circuit labyrinth and an in-ground swimming pool. We are situated in the beautiful Litchfieldhills in the Northwest corner of Connecticut.

When are residencies arranged?
Year-round, pending availability.

How many people are there at a time?
It varies depending on the time of your stay.Inquire when you call.

How do I select time for a visit?
We suggest you call (860-567-3163) and we will review the calendar schedule. You may wish to share the space with a certain group or attend a scheduled workshop. If you want solitude we will do our best to accommodate your request.
