Dining From Wisdom’s Kitchen

Our Nourishment Mission

Wisdom is found at the table, both in the awareness of all who provide the meal for us and also in the conversation that is shared at the table.

Wisdom House is committed to serving our guests the highest quality meals possible to create a delightful and nourishing experience. When available, Chef Margaret Jacobs uses local ingredients, sometimes pulling from the Wisdom House garden.

Meals include salads, vegetables, and protein choices. In an effort toward inclusivity and sustainability, we do not serve shellfish or beef as entrées. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options are available at each meal. Please note that our kitchen is not certified allergen or gluten-free. Guests with celiac disease or food allergies are advised to bring their own food. We have a microwave and refrigerator available for guest use in each of our two kitchenettes.

Food from Wisdom’s Kitchen is always made in-house and receives full praise from guests time and time again.

Wisdom House believes in reverence for nature, making an every day effort to reduce food waste for a sustainable future, read our food waste policies below to learn more:

  • • Due to bears and other wildlife, as well as Dept. of Health regulations, we cannot compost food scraps on the property.
    • A large commercial facility is not able to recycle in the ways individuals can, but Wisdom House does everything possible to recycle with our refuse removal company.

“The food service is my favorite experience here. All delicious, fresh, and nutritious. I love the vegetarian options. I wasn’t expecting that, so I was pleasantly surprised. I ate very well this weekend. Thank you so much to the food service team!”
