Your Health is our Priority

Wisdom House’s Commitment to Guest Wellness

Wisdom House adapted quickly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are blessed to have kept our doors open to guests and we thank our staff and community members for their ongoing flexibility as we all navigate new experiences. Wisdom House continues to be a place of connection and contemplation for people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Thank you for your understanding as we explore new in-house policies. Our goal with the practices listed below is to create an environment where our guests feel safe and supported.

“Overall, felt very comfortable. The center is very clean and well organized. Staff is helpful and friendly.”

Wisdom House recommends that all guests are fully vaccinated before arrival, but at this time vaccination is not required to enjoy your stay. Masks are not required.

We expect that all guests entering our Center are healthy. If you have a fever, cough, respiratory illness, shortness of breath or think you have been exposed to the Coronavirus or have travelled internationally, please postpone your visit until you have been symptom free for 14 days.

Bring a mask and monitor the CDC’s COVID-19 Data Tracker to make an informed decision regarding indoor mask wearing throughout your stay.

The health and safety of our guests and staff are of the utmost importance to us; We will follow the COVID-19 guidelines provided by the State of Connecticut, the CDC and Torrington board of health. If you have specific questions or concerns that are not addressed in the materials provided above and below, please call 860.567.3163.

  • • Masks are optional for our staff.

All Wisdom House staff that do not pass the daily health self-assessment (e.g. showing cold- or flu-like symptoms) must:

    • Take a PCR Covid-19 test as soon as possible and stay home until results are received.

    • If the initial test is negative, the employee needs to stay home and take a second PCR Covid-19 test 48hrs after the first. If this second test is negative, the employee may return to work.

    • If the initial test is positive, the employee may return to work 5 days after the initial onset of their symptoms, they are fever-free, and if their other symptoms are improving.

  • Please do not come to Wisdom House if you or anyone in your household has been experiencing any flu-like symptoms, including sore throat, cough, chills, body aches, shortness of breath, loss of smell, loss of taste, fever greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit, or has been exposed to COVID-19.

All guests must be symptom-free from any illness before arrival.

We recommend those who are immunocompromised stay at home and explore our offerings of online programs.

  • Wisdom House staff continues to regularly deep clean public spaces and high-traffic areas, such as common bathrooms, hallways, stair-wells and hospitality.

All spaces have fresh air access.
