12 Steps for Anyone in Anxious Times

Presented by Br. Mark D’Alessio

Millions have experienced the Twelve Steps, which have their origin in the same spiritual path practiced by serious seekers of many faiths. At their core, the 12 Steps are a path of spiritual awakening to open ourselves to be transformed by God.

Join us to explore the mindful spirituality of the wisdom of the 12 Step tradition. This mini-retreat will explore the benefits of meditation and other spiritual practices through prayers that mark major “turning points” in the practice of the Steps: the Serenity Prayer alongside the Third, Seventh and Eleventh Step Prayers (the “Prayer of St. Francis”).

You will spend time together in meditation and reflection, recognizing these turning points in our pilgrimage of everyday life, sharing your experience, strength and hope, with group discernment and discussion. Some of the practices we will share together on retreat will be different types of meditation as well as journaling, visio divina (soul collage), and deep listening. The retreat is open to everyone — people who are new to the 12 Steps and those who have been walking this path for years. Whatever your relationship is to prayer or meditation, you are welcome to join us. Often described as practical, radical, and even transformative, “12 Steps for Anyone in Anxious Times” can be truly a life-giving spiritual approach for us all.

This program is an online live-stream through Zoom. Cost is $25
