Participants will be invited to find their way by engaging the imagery of the Tao in their poetic expression.

Many of us are turned off to poetry because a high school English teacher thought poetry is about answers. Poetry is not about answers, it’s about questions.
In this one-day retreat, we will immerse ourselves in the spiritual wisdom of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, as well as early Christian hermits who sought solitude in the desert as a path to inner peace and divine union.

A Spiritual Companions Group is a Sacred Circle that consists of 5-8 people who meet once a month for 90 minutes, to share their spiritual journeys with one another.

Mind - Body Rewire for Inner Calm is a holistic experience that helps you understand the root causes of stress, inner resistance, and self-limiting beliefs.
As Spring approaches, we will encounter many challenges in the chaotic months ahead.
Join us for a generative workshop in which we explore the poetry of Keats, Dickinson, Frost, and many modern authors to see how we can apply Keats’ theory of negative capability to our own writing.

We thank you for your interest in programming at Wisdom House. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may occur, resulting in schedule changes. In case you need to cancel your registration, we respectfully request 8 or more days notice prior to the program to be refunded in full, less the program processing fee of $15 for a day program or $50 for an overnight program.
Please understand that we have costs already incurred when preparing for our programs. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations that occur 7 days or less prior to the program.
Should Wisdom House cancel a program due to low enrollment or circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund.
The health and safety of our guests and staff are of paramount importance to us. We follow the COVID-19 guidelines provided by the State of Connecticut and the CDC. If Wisdom House is forced to close to comply with the guidelines issued by the State of Connecticut or the CDC, we will return all funds received to date.
