Cure for a Hectic World: Learning the Art of Nothing to Do

Taking care of the body, mind and heart may look like we are doing nothing, especially in a culture that rewards us for always being busy. Please come for a Day of Mindfulness, a time to stop, rest, and heal and uncouple from the pressure and expectation of getting everything done. Our day will include essential practices for nurturing calm and ease in our hearts and minds. We will enjoy silent sitting, walking meditation, a live Dharma talk by a student of Thich Nhat Hanh, and the practice of Mindful Eating. Beginners as well as experienced practitioners are welcome. 

What to Bring: shoes and clothing for walking outdoors if weather permits, a blanket or yoga mat and cushion for sitting meditation & Deep Relaxation. Any props that will help you be comfortable.

Celia Landman, MA (Mindfulness Studies) loves writing, meditating, and finding ways to be more compassionate in the world. In 2013 she was ordained by Thich Nhat Hahn as a member of the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism. She works with teens and folks impacted by trauma, addiction, and anxiety creating customized practices to reconnect wholeness. Celia also offers Nonviolent Communication training as a way to promote peace in the world. Her greatest aspiration is to help others recognize that they are lovable just as they are-yes, you are! She is a mother of two mostly grown children, a writer, and the servant of two dogs in Litchfield, CT.
