Nancy Benben has been a Seeker her entire life, exploring many spiritual paths along the way. She believes that the desire to be in relationship with the Divine is the essence of spirituality and that when we follow that desire, we are led to encounter the multifaceted heart of the Holy. Nancy is a Spiritual Companion, Supervisor and teacher of many years. She has extensive training using and teaching Enneagram and Bio-Spiritual Focusing as tools for spiritual direction and personal growth. Nancy is a graduate of Northwestern University and Hartford International University’s Women’s Leadership Institute. Nancy and her husband David live in Eastham, MA with their sweet rescue kitty, Misty.

My name is Lisa Hudkins, I am a Spiritual Companion, a Supervisor of Spiritual Companions, and a former member of the teaching team that trains interns to become Spiritual Companions at the Spiritual Life Center in Hartford.

My practice of Spiritual Companioning is rooted in a love of deep and holy listening to those who are seeking to find the Divine in their life. All seekers’ journeys are respected and welcomed since we are all loved by God. I believe that life is full of invitations to live our best existence and become closer to the Divine spark that is in each of us. As a Spiritual Companion, we will listen together to discover how the Divine is working in your being.

I come presenting my authentic self, having faced many years engaging in my own internal work as well as my own spiritual direction journey. I have been an educator for over 40 years, a career that brought me tremendous joy. This joy has now transferred to my role as a Spiritual Companion. I have a long, loving marriage to my husband and two tremendous adult children. My husband and I have had five beautiful boxer dogs in our life. Our present dog, Jersey, is a rescue who experienced incredible trauma as a puppy. She is now living her best life!

I enjoy reading books, poetry, cooking, writing in my journal, working in my gardens, and being out in nature, which makes me feel alive! Working on issues of discernment, trauma, and contemplative practices are topics I bring to my sessions. It will be my honor to accompany you on your journey and find the delight that you are looking for in your life!
