For 25 years, Wisdom House has proudly presented the "Wisdom Award" to members of the Northwest Connecticut community who have dedicated significant volunteer service to improving the lives of others and enhancing the environment. This award celebrates individuals who embody values of creativity, education, hospitality, justice, generosity, and outreach to the vulnerable—making the presence of Divine Wisdom felt among us. The Wisdom Award is a recognition of their profound impact and an affirmation of their role as beacons of inspiration and transformation in our community.
This year, we are honored to present the Wisdom Award to Kevin Sullivan and Berta Andrulis Mette, whose tireless efforts have truly made them a physical manifestation of the Divine in our midst.

Berta Andrulis Mette: Given the gift of life and the best family experience from parents Bob & Peg Andrulis, siblings John, Greg, Rob, Bill, Carol & Truman. Great joys when in-laws and all my nieces and nephews joined our extended family. Married to Matt Andrulis Mette, step-mom to Aiden & Mollie, Mom-in-law to Brian & Laurel and “GGb” to 5 grandkiddos. So fortunate to have so many dear friends to share life’s journey with. Raised in Litchfield and cherish every day being a member of our wonderful community and the inspiration that those in my midst provide me. I’m truly grateful that I can invest my time and energy in things that I hope will outlast me.
