Day of Mindfulness: Interbeing Tells Us We Belong

  • Wisdom House Retreat & Conference Center 229 East Litchfield Road Litchfield, CT, 06759 United States (map)

Presented by Celia Landman

“’To be’ is to interbe. You cannot just be by yourself alone. You have to interbe with every other thing.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

To interbe is to recognize our interconnected nature. We can feel isolated and cut off from others but when we look deeply, we see that we contain our parents and ancestors. Each cell in our body also contains the energy from the sun, oxygen from the air, water from the clouds, and minerals from the Earth. We contain all the teachings of our elders and the love of generations. Interbeing shows us we are not a small independent self but connected to the whole cosmos. Please join us for a day where we practice awareness of the innumerable gifts already available to us. We will spend the day in sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating, deep listening and sharing from our hearts.

$60 | Vegetarian Lunch Included

The health and safety of our guests and staff are of paramount importance to us. We follow the COVID-19 guidelines provided by the State of Connecticut and the CDC. If Wisdom House is forced to close to comply with the guidelines issued by the State of Connecticut or the CDC, we will return all funds received to date.
