Come celebrate the release of Robert Piazza’s award-winning debut collection of poetry, Distilled Spirits: Coffee & Recovery, a book of villanelles depicting addiction versus recovery. Meet the poet, up close and personal, at his official book launch, featuring an author talk and poetry reading, followed by a lively 

Question & Answer on thematic material and the writing process. Books will be available for purchase with opportunities to have them signed by the author. 

Robert Piazza, an American poet, is the award-winning author of Distilled Spirits: Coffee & Recovery (Cathexis Northwest Press, 2026). He completed his MFA in Creative Writing at Fairfield University, and currently serves as Poet Laureate of Litchfield, Connecticut. His full￾length manuscript “Another Revolution” was selected as a finalist for the Fairfield Book Prize in 2025. His poems have recently appeared in Welter Online at UBalt, The Helix at CCSU, and Long River Review at UCONN. You can find him on the web at Poets & Writers.

Rob Piazza is an American poet and classical guitarist who earned his MFA in Creative Writing at Fairfield University and his BA in music from Boston College.  His repertoire includes music of Sor, Tárrega, and Brouwer, and his poems have recently appeared in The Bookends Review, Long River Review at UCONN, and The Northeast Coast Literary Journal.  His full-length manuscript “Another Revolution” was a finalist for the 2025 Fairfield Book Prize. 

Currently, he serves as Poet Laureate of Litchfield, Connecticut.
