The gift you didn’t get for Christmas. Please join me in offering ourselves the gift of slowing down and caring for the body, heart and mind with a Day of Mindfulness in the Plum Village tradition of Zen Buddhism.
Please join the local sangha as we spend the day slowing down and cultivating what creates joy. We will have sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating and a dharma talk. There will be an opportunity to listen to others and to be heard.
This Yoga practice is a meditation in motion that integrates prayer, meditation and the yoga postures in a natural flow that calms the body and the mind, leaving you feeling peaceful and more centered. It is meant for all levels and abilities, and can even be done in a chair.
Explore gardening as a opportunity to practice patience and presence. Gardens, altars of the Earth, provide a sacred space to heal, play and restore. By co-creating with Mother Earth we transform and transcend, experiencing the "oneness" with all of life.
Spend an hour and a half with Barbara Putnam, who learned from experience that a regular yoga practice helped her avoid injuries in the garden. She will introduce simple yoga practices that can help gardeners develop their strength and flexibility.
Join Grace for an intention setting workshop of movement, meditation and relaxation. The Summer Solstice brings us the longest day of year, full of limitless possibilities - physically and energetically.
